We have just launched an updated version of IdS ServiceManager, with a range of new features that make identity and access management easier and more flexible for our customers.
Among the highlights:
- Custom views can now be created for all lists, shared via a direct link and synchronised from a template tenant to other tenants – for example dedicated views for IT, HR and auditors.
- Improved audit data and login information, with a consolidated “last logged in” date across systems such as Active Directory and Entra ID.
- Upgraded access-level lists and self-service ordering, with support for services published from other tenants.
- Stronger approval control, including a requirement for MFA on approval and a new default flow with “owner only, including MFA” for administrator access.
- Active Directory as a pure connector integration with an agent, making it possible to manage on-premises and hybrid environments without opening up for extensive inbound network traffic.
- Improved access reviews, with a quarantine period, a more frequent review job and better handling of risky access combinations.
- More granular role administration, bulk actions for access, a global portfolio calendar and a new documentation solution with a search-based assistant.

Notification job for inactive users
We forgot to mention an important new feature in the webinar: we have introduced a notification job for inactive users. Enable Notify manager on IdP inactivity in the tenant settings to activate notifications to a manager when an employee has not logged in to the identity provider (IdP) for a given number of days. The notification is batched – one email per manager listing all inactive employees – and is only sent on Norwegian working days during core hours (08:00–16:00). Users on leave or who are not active in the IdP are not evaluated. See screenshot:

Answers to questions asked during the webinar
External users: Will the “last logged in” date be fetched and displayed correctly for external/guest users? We have tested this and can confirm that it works for guest users too.
Service list: Will “Services with access level” be moved from Self-service to Manager functions? Yes – “Services with access levels” has been moved to manager functions. See screenshot:
